  1. thanks! i could take some beach time right now. the vicarious dip was nice. fun to hear your voice too.
    i remember being about 5 or 6 ans looking across the atlantic and wondering if there was a little girl on the other side looking back wondering. thanks for the memory:)

  2. what a wonderful, peaceful break. it almost makes up for having to travel away from the menagerie. almost.
    i know what you mean about the smell of the sea. i grew up near the gulf of mexico and now i live in a land-locked city. whenever i go back to someplace near shore the first thing i notice is the smell. the salt and mangroves and algae that i didn’t even notice as a child almost hit me like a brick and bring back a flood of memories.

  3. Thanks for a much needed ocean moment! I’m a misplaced coastal girl stuck on the prairie. As a child, I could hear the surf from my bedroom window & to this day, there’s nothing more soothing.
