Happy New Year!

PlannerWe are now well into 2006, been to church and back, and the babies are having a nap before we head out to Wanchai Gap Playground to meet up with friends. I am doing some planning and preparing of the 2006 Blog. Please take a moment to answer the poll in the right hand column. (And while you’re at it, please leave a comment.) Meanwhile, here is a fun game I saw the last few days… each month’s first line of my blog since inception last April (pretty boring actually – I’ll try to do better!)…

April 2005: I doubt my father will be thrilled with my inaugural entry into the blogging world.

May 2005: We’ve been manoeuvring down the highway of life playing Preemie Pinball now for the last fourteen months.

June 2005: I have left on my business trip to the US.

July 2005: … back in Hong Kong. Wow, what a buzz.

August 2005:  So sorry for the lack of updates… have been nutty crazy the last few days.

September 2005:  For most of my life I have been aware that God has been knocking on my door.

October 2005: I am on my way to India today with my new boss.

November 2005: Last week, we had friends visit from Canada – Paul & Fran.

December 2005: The long absence is due to excessive travel.

  2. longtime lurker checking in. thanks for sharing your family – found you through tertia at a time when we were wondering about what it would be like to have triplets or twins. first entries all about vomit! yikes! we’re missionaries with ywam in scotland, married for 7 years, ttc for 5. first icsi in july not successful, trying again in spring. had a dream we met your family the other night. must stop mixing reality with the internet… but who knows! the world is small! have a blessed 2006.

  6. I’ve commented before on your blog before, but never complemented you on it. Its wonderful, insightful and thoughful. As a mom to twins, I have learned so many tricks and preserved the knowledge that you can survive this crazy place called parenthood. Thank you for putting the time and effort into sharing your world with me. Wishing you and your family all the very best in 2006.

  8. Happy New Years, Charles and Family!
I’m back after a slightly long absence. My computer bit the dust and it was some time before I could get a new one.
Your questionaire didn’t have enough options on it, so I’ve decided to add a few things that I wouldn’t mind reading about this year. 🙂 How about that? 😉
I’d love to hear more about your travels to other countries, about the people and their culture…in any country that you visit. I really enjoyed the HR link with the article about you that also featured an interview with a Mr. Ho.
I read that article to my hub, who is part of a management effort to motivate their company employees to make far fewer mistakes on the job and to increase their production at work this year. I especially liked Mr. Ho’s statement about creating a culture at work where the employees speak up and are treated with respect.
Also look forward to more stories and pictures of your kiddos, (your wife must be a saint, that’s for sure). The variety that you offer on your blog is one of it’s best assets!

  10. Charles, thank you for stopping by my blog. I have to tell you, I think you and Tess are the neatest folks that I know.
You have a wonderful wife-I look up to her so much.
I admire your spirituality and hard work.
And the kids-gosh, they are so gorgeous! Carys is my fave though. : )
I hope that 2006 is all that you hope it will be.

  14. Yes, tell us furriners about your travels around the region. At time Tess lets us know where you are going.
But you do have to talk about the family – from here it looks like you’ve got the most marvelous group of kids, and a gorgeous wife. Hong Kong sounds really interesting (never having been anywhere in that part of the world)
