Birthday Prep

Sebs_5th_inviteEven though Sebastian’s birthday is not until next week, today is Sebastian’s birthday party. We are holding it at Ocean Park (one of Seb’s favourite places) with about a dozen of Sebastian’s friends. We are getting away from the playground parties with 40 kids and sixty adults. (For this birthday, anyway!) At left is the invite we sent out, on the back of which was a map of Ocean Park to show people where to meet. It’s been a typical morning of loud kids while we run around getting organized. The kids all seem to be in bad, whingey moods… why does that always happen on the days you want your kids to be best behaved?

Birthday_bingoWe’ve also planned "Birthday Bingo." Each little friend attending will receive a card (see attached – the card is half-page, double sided, but you’re looking at both sides). Each time they complete one of the designated rides in "Kiddieland" they will get a stamp (or chop as it is called in Hong Kong.) Once they fill all the chops they will get their party bag. Funny story about the rides, too. A while ago Sebastian said to me after being asked what ride he liked the best,  "I like the Froggy Hopper!"

Yes, there is a cake… a close runner-up to Nemo from 2004. Watch for pictures, details and even a video (duh, surprise). Even though this is only a runner-up, I doubt anyone will be disappointed – Sebastian was certainly excited.  Stay tuned!
